One of the penetration bitumen grades is Penetration Bitumen 80/100 (Penetration 80/100, Bitumen 80/100, Paving Bitumen 80/100, Bitumen Grade 80/100, Pen Grade Bitumen 80/100, Soft Asphalt Binder 80/100) this grade has a lower ductility than previous grades like 10/20 and 35/50 and has more ductility than grades higher than itself, like 160/220 and 200/300.
This grade of bitumen is manufactured through the vacuum bottom oxidation process.
This product leaves the distillation tower when its penetration is between 80 to 100 desi-millimeters.

Penetration Bitumen 80/100 is a softer penetration grade bitumen with a penetration range between 80–100 dmm at 25°C. This grade is known for its excellent workability, elasticity, and temperature responsiveness, making it ideal for use in temperate climates. It resists cracking under mild thermal stress and maintains reliable adhesion in flexible pavement designs.
